Challenge –

A leading pharmaceutical company faced significant challenges in its approach to patient data analysis. Patient data was collected periodically in waves, with each wave capturing vital information such as the patients’ current treatments and the stage of their disease. While this process aimed to provide insights into treatment effectiveness, the lack of a standardized approach to data analysis hindered its potential.

Healthcare practitioners performed statistical analyses to evaluate treatment outcomes. However, inconsistencies in the methods used led to results that were often difficult to compare across waves. This lack of uniformity made it nearly impossible to draw clear conclusions or identify trends, significantly delaying critical insights. The absence of streamlined analysis not only complicated decision-making but also added unnecessary complexity to an already intricate process. The organization’s ability to improve patient care was directly impacted, highlighting the urgent need for a standardized, scalable solution.

Solution

At Algorhythm Group, we automated survival analyses to predict lifetime among treated and non-treated patients under various conditions. We prepared a dashboard that conducts all of these analyses automatically after uploading the data.

In addition, the dashboard interface allows for automatic report generation of the analyses containing automatically generated graphs, tables and text.

Impact

Automated and reproducible results, facilitating decision-making

Our analyses provide insight into the effect of various treatments on patients’ lifespan under various circumstances. The automatically generated reports prevent human error in conducting statistical analyses and speed up the process.

With our solution, they are able to conduct reproducible research and confidently make decisions on the effectiveness of their treatments.
